Rocky Mount -South Johnston game rained out - moved to Saturday

July 28, 2008
By iHigh Staff of Rocky Mount High School

An early evening cloudburst just minutes before the start of Rocky Mount's third-round NCHSAA 3-A baseball playoff game with South Johnston Friday made Gryphon Stadium's infield unplayable.

The game has been moved to Saturday at 7 p.m.

Wilson Fike's third-round matchup with South Granville Friday was also rained out. It will be played at Fike at 7 p.m.

The winners of these two games will meet Tuesday. Should Rocky Mount and Fike, co-NEW 6 champs, both win, the game will be at Fike. Should South Granville and Rocky Mount prevail, the contest will be at South Granville.
